A FUEL train hit a mine and exploded near the stricken Georgian city of Gori today as Russia faced renewed European Union pressure to make a complete withdrawal from Georgia
can anyone tell me how our roads affect horse shoes? I dont mean to sound too silly but my dad rode a horse to school, his dad took the horse and cart to market, and my great grandfather emigrated from England by Sail ship, bullock train and horse back. Last I checked they all were as human as we, and I am here because of them, so how is it that oil is the be all and end all of civilization. I am not talking about civilization as we know it ending either, that ends with every new technology we foolishly adopt.

because we all continue to rely so heavily on our cars to get around and i can understand why many have to rely on cars... the price of oil quite simply won't go down... why don't we all leave our cars at home and use public transport... i know this is impractical for most but we shouldn't expect petrol to go down unless we all act in unison and leave our cars at home so the demand for crude oil decreases... but what are the chances of that happening??

Andrew - even a cappuccino and a sandwich at Heathrow came to 11 pounds! Thats over 25 bucks! Crazy! And the cappuccino sucked! So I seriously doubt your claim on the 30 or even 50 pounds for a meal in a restuarant?? I was talking a meal for two not one.
