A MAN has died after being crushed under a large hay bale weighing several hundred kilograms in Victoria`s southwest. Police said the man, aged about 40, was crushed when the large circular bale fell on to the cabin of a front-end loader he was using to lift it on his property in McNeilly`s Road, Portland West, about 5pm (AEST) today. The man was found by a neighbour, police said. WorkSafe is investigating. Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
