POLICE have started interviewing Labor MP Belinda Neal about the Iguana bar affair - just an hour after they finished a four-hour grilling of her husband.

Ms Neal entered Gosford Police Station about 3.10pm in a car driven by a male companion. Four police officers guarded a car entry point for her, to keep waiting media at bay.

Police are investigating claims Ms Neal swore at staff and threatened their jobs after the Labor power-duo were requested to move tables while dining with colleagues and friends last month.

They are also investigating two sets of conflicting statutory declarations, sworn by restaurant staff and employees of Ms Neal.

A Current Affair

A Current Affair reporter Ben Fordham also presented himself at the same station over allegations a three-man TV crew trespassed on Ms Neal`s Mann Street electoral office in Gosford yesterday and assaulted her.

Mr Fordham said he voluntarily presented himself to police this afternoon and had not been ordered to attend a police interview, The Australian reported.

"I told them, `I am happy to be interviewed if you want me, so just let me know`," Mr Fordham said.

"I just wanted to make sure they (police) know in the event of this assault thing actually going ahead ... I`m always happy to be interviewed by police."

Mr Fordham said he did not know whether a cut on Ms Neal`s left knuckle was a result of yesterday`s confrontation.

"I was told by police she may have done it when she closed the door."

Della Bosca

Embattled State Minister John Della Bosca was earlier interviewed after Premier Morris Iemma ordered him to talk to police.

Mr Della Bosca was driven into a side entrance of the police station in a dark-blue four-wheel drive vehicle about 10.15am and left the police station just after 2pm.
