THREE men will appear in a Hobart court today charged over an ecstasy trafficking ring.
The three were arrested yesterday by southern drugs investigation services officers and were later charged with one count each of trafficking in a controlled substance, Detective Inspector Glenn Frame said.
The arrests were part of an ongoing investigation and follow a series of arrests and seizures in the Hobart area.
"It will be alleged the three males were involved in the distribution of significant amounts of MDMA, commonly known as ecstasy, over an extended period of time," Insp Frame said.
"These are important arrests in our continuing efforts to disrupt supply and discourage people from this type of criminal activity."
The men have been detained in custody until a court hearing later today, Insp Frame said.
