A TRUCK driver has been charged with trafficking drugs after his vehicle was stopped by police for a routine check on the Gold Coast.
Officers stopped the 43-year-old man`s truck at Pimpama this afternoon in a routine fatigue management enforcement operation, police said.
But officers searched the truck after noticing the man`s suspicious behaviour and allegedly found a quantity of amphetamines, police said.
The Kingston man is charged with trafficking, major possession of a dangerous drug, supplying a dangerous drug and possessing a thing used in the commission of a crime.
He will face Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow.
