Royal fling ... Kate Middleton can expect plenty of Highland hijinks and men-in-skirts hilarity on her maiden deer-"stalking" trip to Balmoral / Reuters |
- Kate to join William for end of deer season
- Charles and Camilla "minutes away" at Birkhall
- Speculation engagement call on the cards
KATE Middleton has joined Prince William and his family for a private weekend in Scotland, one of the biggest tests for a future royal bride.
William and his girlfriend, both 25, will spend the next few days with Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall for the final days of the deer-stalking season.
The couple, who split this year but recently rekindled their four-year romance, are believed to be staying with friends at William`s cottage on the Balmoral estate.
Charles and Camilla are at Birkhall, a few minutes away.
William`s father and step-mother are said to be delighted that the pair are back together and are looking forward to spending time with them.
The holiday is likely to spark speculation an engagement could be on the cards sooner rather than later.
Sources close to the couple, however, have cautioned that may not happen for a year or so yet.
