So if the bouncer gets provoked he has to put up with it cos that's his job. correct me if i'm but in the job description it doesn't say take crap from low life drunks and not defend yourself when attacked. i've been out to clubs and pubs and only been kicked out once and that was for being hit. but i didn't go and mouth off to the bouncer and get smacked up because i ain't that stupid. fact of the matter is you do something stupid you end up paying the price and the fact they don't want to press charges says alot about what went on in that incident. also if not ok for bouncers to snap it ain't ok for patrons to snap even if they are provoked by the bouncers.

I have seen these thugs (bouncers) push people around punch the crap out of them. In my dj'ing days I saw many broken teeth and cracked skulls and most of the time they were unprovoked attacks on innocent people that really were doing nothing wrong. A close eye needs to be kept on bouncers. They are way out of line and often like to fantasize that they are cops when really all they are is glorified security guards. There is plenty of photographic evidence in this case and this bouncer should go before the courts to face the same charges I would randomly bashing the crap out of someone when walking down the street.

This has always been going on.About 10 years I was trying to enter a Sydney Night Club.At the same time another group of drinkers were being thrown out.I was punched in the cheek and spent a week in hospital and required a plate in my cheek. When I complained to police I was told that I tried to kick the bouncer and there were 3 other bouncers who saw me.All the bouncers were off duty police so you have no chance of any justice.

  • Bouncer caught on camera kicking man
  • Bar`s owner says it was "unacceptable"
  • Confirms the bouncer has been sacked

A BOUNCER photographed kicking a reveller outside a Melbourne strip club has been sacked, and could now face police charges.

The photograph, taken by the Herald Sun, shows a reveller at Bar 20 trying to protect himself as a bouncer lets fly with a kick early yesterday morning. A second man, lying behind him, is apparently set upon by another bouncer.

A witness told 3AW radio that the bouncer punched and kicked a patron up to 20 times during a confrontation outside the King St bar about 4.30am yesterday.

The witness, naming himself as John, described the attack as "relentless", claiming the bouncer delivered "10, 15, 20 punches, more than one kick while they were down."

The photograph has been described as "disappointing" by one of the state`s top cops.

Police Deputy Commissioner Kieran Walshe told 3AW that officers spoke to the two men allegedly assaulted, but neither wanted to make a complaint or statement.

"Crowd controllers are licenced and employed to provide security and safety around venues, not for getting involved in physical altercations with patrons," he said.

Mr Walshe said police would take action against the bouncer`s licence, if it was warranted.

"From time to time we do get complaints of overzealous response and activity by crowd controllers and security around venues. But it`s not something that occurs everything weekend or on a regular basis," he said.

Bar 20 director John Trimble said club management would be investigating the incident involving its contracted door staff.

"It`s totally unacceptable. It`s diabolical as far as I`m concerned," Mr Trimble said.

"It`s not acceptable from anyone`s perspective, from anyone`s point of view."

Mr Trimble said the contracted security firm had since sacked the bouncer.
