Baby bump talk of Tinseltown

Baby bump talk of Tinseltown

THERE was no missing Kidman in a fire engine red Balenciaga gown, but it was Watts` baby bump - swathed in soft lemon Escada - that really had the Hollywood gossips talking.

Jennifer Lopez looked more the mother-to-be in her empire line Marchesa gown.

The Latin diva has made no secret of her desire to start a family with singer husband Marc Anthony, who spent his time on the red carpet taking happy snaps for the couple`s family album.

Cate Blanchett lost to Jennifer Hudson`s best supporting actress performance in Dreamgirls, but counted herself among the lucky women dressed by Armani.

In the battle of bling, stars came to grips with big rings and chunky bracelets this year.

Blanchett wore a black onyx and diamond cuff, Cameron Diaz had super-size emerald earrings, while Reese Witherspoon added to her purple ensemble with a stunning sparkler on her wrist.
And then there were the ones who got it wrong.

While Helen Mirren hauled in a gold man for her impersonation of Queen Elizabeth II, Kirsten Dunst scored the scorn of fashionistas with a mumsy mess.

Ditto Anne Hathaway, who learned nothing about style on the set of The Devil Wears Prada.

And poor Faye Dunaway. With 60-something sex sirens like Mirren to compete with, all she came up with was a mournful combination of black ruffles and Farrah Fawcett flicks.
