NOTORIOUS teen runaway Natasha Ryan is understood to have married the man who hid her from her family for five years.
Ms Ryan, from Rockhampton, in central Queensland, sparked a nationwide search when she went missing in August 1998, aged 14, The Courier-Mail reports.
Her family believed she had been murdered until she was discovered hiding from police in a bedroom cupboard in April 2003.
It is believed the couple enjoyed a "small and intimate" wedding on Saturday.
They were yesterday spotted at Brisbane airport catching a plane to Melbourne.
Ms Ryan`s mother Jenny Kerwin was planning to give her away and father Robert Ryan - who once held a memorial service for the daughter he thought he had lost - was invited.
At the time Ms Ryan vanished several women and girls in Rockhampton had also disappeared and were later found to be victims of serial killer Leonard John Fraser.
Fraser was also charged with Ms Ryan`s murder but the trial ground to an unexpected halt when Ms Ryan made her spectacular reappearance.
The truth was revealed after detectives received a tip-off which led to a raid on Mr Black`s house.
Mr Black was jailed for 12 months for lying to police, fined $3000 and ordered to pay police costs of $16,740 for causing a false police investigation.
Ms Ryan, now 24, gave birth to Mr Black`s son Corey in 2004. She has made an estimated $200,000 by selling her story to media organisations.
She has yet to repay the $160,000 costs of the investigation into her disappearance and suspected murder.
