TWO Polish miners died and three were injured at a mine when a tremor hit the Czech coal pit.
The tremor hit the OKD mine in the northeast of the Czech Republic shortly before midnight on Saturday local time while 21 miners were working there.
"We deeply regret any human life lost and feel sincere sympathy for the families and close relatives of the dead miners," said OKD Chief Executive Officer Klaus-Dieter Beck.
Seven miners have died in OKD mines so far this year.
