A BODY has been found in a primary school freezer hours after the school`s chef was reported missing.
Linda Gent, 53, worked as the chef at the Benfleet Primary School in Essex, England.
She was reported missing in the middle of the night in late September. Her body was found in the school`s freezer 15 hours later, The Sun reported.
It quoted a police source as saying: "Her body was found in a freezer at the school".
An autopsy had failed to reveal the cause of Ms Gent`s death, but the paper said police were not treating the incident as a murder investigation.
Students at the school were informed of Ms Gent`s death on the following Monday.
"Everyone connected with the school has been devastated by the sudden death of Linda Gent, our school cook," the school`s principal was quoted as saying.
She had worked at the school for 20 years, he said.
