The Dural darling has deferred her university studies in psychology to work on her modelling and media career.
She`s hoping that will put her on the same successful path as 2004 Miss Universe winner Hawkins.
"It would be great to have the career she`s developed," Dundovic said.
For now she`s signed up for a 12-month contract with Charlie Brown to front Brown`s advertising campaign and be an ambassador for the label.
"I think she`s got a great sex appeal factor and I wanted to keep the brand alive with a local girl who is in town,`` Brown said.
"Laura is great to work with, she`s got a lot of potential and it`s great to be here with her in the beginning."
In the past, the designer has teamed up with everyone from Lady Sonia McMahon to Jerry Hall and Cathy Freeman.
This fresh young face is a completely different choice.
