Man pleads not guilty to double murder	3.10.2008
A 35-YEAR-OLD Queanbeyan man has pleaded not guilty to a double murder and an arson attack. Scott Alexander McDougall is charged with last month`s murder of 42-year-old Struan Bolas and Julie Franco, 35, and arson. The victims bodies were discovered by fire crews in a burning house in Downer, in Canberra`s north, on September 10. Mr McDougall was arrested by police in the early hours of the following morning. Police allege he killed the pair then deliberately set fire to the house. Mr McDougall made a brief appearance in the ACT Magistrates court today and entered a not guilty plea to the charges. He did not apply for bail and was remanded in custody until November 20, when he`ll next appear in court.
